On the occasion of Omani Women’s Day, the Omani-Uzbekistani Business Women Forum in Tashkent organized, from 18th to 22nd October 2025, a meeting that combined inspiration, positive energy, and real opportunities for female entrepreneurs from both countries.

said this meeting was not just an event but a platform for forging partnerships and building bridges between markets.
The meeting saw the signing of agreements and partnerships in the fields of trade, tourism, service, education, technology, and entrepreneurship, alongside cognitive exchange and training programs that empowered startups and opened new horizons for growth and innovation.
“It’s the beginning of a path of sustainable cooperation that reflects the power of Omani and Uzbek women in driving economic change and strengthening relations between the two countries, and proof that ambition, when combined with hard work, makes a real impact,” Dr Siham noted.
She said, “A heartfelt thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan for the warm welcome and exceptional hospitality extended to the Omani businesswomen delegation.”
She added that their efforts in facilitating meaningful dialogue and creating a platform for the exchange of opportunities between Omani and Uzbek businesswomen have truly strengthened the spirit of partnership and collaboration between the two nations.
“This engagement reflects our shared belief that when women connect, they don’t just share ideas – they build bridges of growth, innovation, and empowerment.”
Oman real estate is an extremely important sector, and for entrepreneur Dr Siham al Harthy, it is a market to be explored, which has even taken her to tourism.
Her 18 years of experience in the government in the same area has been her strength; according to her, that prepared her to start her own company.
“Work in real estate development is actually one thing I really enjoy because we can help people change their lifestyle by creating an environment of living,” said Dr Siham al Harthy, Chairperson of OCCI’s Tourism Committee and CEO of Siham Development and Investment.
The real estate development field can be challenging, but she says challenges are everywhere.
She has also ventured into the renovation of old hotels. For the first time in Oman, they are using 3D printers to build units.
“If you are passionate and like what you are doing and if you have a dream, everything will become easy. I entered real estate because I love this industry. I have a dream to make people live happily where there are facilities for kids to go to school easily and, at the same time, make it convenient for families to have gatherings at the same place they are living and not to have the hassle of traffic,” Dr Siham reflected.
She said she would like to design spaces where the residents can work out for fitness and basically have everything close by.
The strength of a person can vary from one individual to another, but what is important is to focus on what one is good at and whatever you enjoy doing, she pointed out.
“What is also important is to improve one’s weaknesses as much as one can. We have to ponder on what the purpose of our lives is,” she reflected.
Today the problem a woman faces is not about the conflict between achieving her dreams and her traditional role.
“Our problem today is balancing these roles. On one side we have the priority of finding our career and building our future. And on the other side we have the priority of building our family and raising our kids. We also have another priority, and that is being involved in our community, whether it is solving problems or improving situations. We need to be part of the community and not exclude ourselves from it. That is why we need to have a sense of balance. No one can attain 100 percent but we can try,” she concluded.
